With a Tunisian father and a Franco-Italian mother, Anissa Daoud is an actress, author, producer and director for cinema and theatre. She works on creations often focused on trans-disciplinarity. In cinema She's been acting in number of films, among them: "She and he" by Elyes Baccar, "Thirty" by Fadhel Jaziri, "The long night " by the Syrian Hatem Ali, "The Beauty and the dogs" of Kaouthar Ben Hania ", feature film in selection in Un Certain Regard Cannes 2017, but also "Tender is the wolf" by Jilani Saadi, "Tunisian Spring" by Raja Amari and "Borders of heaven" by Fares Naanaa: films for which she received several awards for interpretation. She is currently starring in Lotfi Achour's feature film "Burning Hope", she co-wrote and produced, and for which she received three interpretation awards. She co-founded A.P.A: Artistes Producteurs AssociĆ©s and created a production tool for artists from diverse disciplines too work together, focusing on coherence between artistic works and means of production. Within A.P.A, she wrote and produced several theater projects played in Paris, London, Tunis, Sao Paolo, Brussels... For cinema, she did produce the short films "Law of the lamb" by Lotfi Achour(Official selection Cannes FF) 2016 and "All the rest is the work of man" by Doria Achour (Official selection Venice FF 2016). As a film director, she did two documentaries: a short one, "Women's Chronicles of Political Engagement" and a feature, "Our Women in Politics and Society". She co-directs, with the Afghan director Aboozar Amini, the short film "Best Day Ever" for the Tunisian Factory this one make the opening of the Directors' Fortnight, Cannes 2018.
