Along with Johnson's rippling physique and heroic fingertips, the film's chief asset is the creatively conceived title object-the very tall building.ReelViewsJuly 14, 2018
It would be fair to say that Skyscraper does what it sets out to do but the unambitious agenda isn't something I'm especially interested in watching.San Diego ReaderJuly 13, 2018
The pleasures here come from watching an extraordinary physical specimen go through a lo-tech workout routine thousands of feet above the ground as he tries to rescue his family from a burning superskyscraper.Boston GlobeJuly 13, 2018
As a streaming option on a slow night or a long flight, the movie has its uses. But you've seen almost all of this before, with more wit and a better villain.Globe and MailJuly 13, 2018
Skyscraper itself defies gravity - and plain sense, and humour, and self-awareness, and most things even a dumb, hot-buttered blockbuster would have even a little of.Detroit NewsJuly 13, 2018
All "Skyscraper" has going for it is a tall building. The Monitor (McAllen, TX)July 17, 2018
For Sarah, Will, and his leg sidekick, the maze of characters they must navigate is the tedious space between crazy scenes where anything, anything, anything can be saved with duct tape.Black Girl NerdsJuly 17, 2018
Although it was entertaining at times, 'Skyscraper' is not a film that one should go see if there are better options available. The feeling of déjà vu is just too unshakeable.London Evening StandardJuly 17, 2018
With a panache worthy of Oscar Wilde, Johnson delivers lines such as: "This is stupid!"ArtsHubJuly 16, 2018
Even the film's hulking hero and its willingness to lean into its overblown nature can't keep this blockbuster alight, as much as Johnson, particularly, tries.CocalecasJuly 16, 2018
Ironically, for a film about a violent massive fire, it is completely devoid of warmth. [Full review in Spanish]Tolucan TimesJuly 16, 2018
...loaded with plotholes, but if you've seen one 'Die Hard' movie, you've seen them all, and that's all this is...but the bottom line is that they have all been entertaining, if ridiculous.
